In these unprecedented times the U.Dance Choreography Challenge provides an opportunity to get creative, socially dis-dance and have your work showcased on a national (digital) stage.
We are inviting youth dance companies, groups and individuals from all over the country to send in videos of their work from home. Create a dance film of up to four minutes' duration, either solo or as part of a group project, in any setting that complies with social distancing guidelines - this could be your home, garden, driveway or local park. Selected entries will be showcased each evening over the U.Dance Digital 2020 weekend, streamed on our social media channels in the lead up to the festival and as part of our watch parties of exciting dance content.
This is a chance for innovative young writers who are passionate about dance to have their work showcased on a national platform.
10 shortlisted pieces will be showcased on the One Dance UK U.Dance website, with social media posts to our network of over 120,000 followers. One lucky entrant will have the opportunity to write a post on the One Dance UK Dance Ambassadors Blog, and write a review of U.Dance Digital 2020, which will be published in One, One Dance UK's flagship magazine which is read by thousands of members and across the dance sector! Submit a piece of orignal writing of up to 500 words in one of the following formats:
