What To Expect?
Participants will learn about the importance of looking after their minds and mental health in dance through preparation and recover, to help them bring their best self to dance.
Lucie will share some top tips for looking after your psychological wellbeing both day to day and during challenging times like exams and performances.
Jodine will provide tips to help you bring your best self to dance. This will involve tips focused on the mental side of dance and mental wellbeing.
Following this participants will have free reign to ask any questions they may need to help their development.
Lucie is a Chartered Psychologist who specialises in supporting dancers to develop good psychological wellbeing in dance. She has a PhD from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and has worked in many leading dance schools such as Rambert, London Contemporary Dance School, London Studio Centre and more!
She is currently also a Psychologist at From Head to Toe Academy for Irish Dancers and Momentum Performing Arts Academy.

Jodine Williams is a sports and exercise psychologist in training. Having been an athlete herself and now an avid exerciser this career was always the right fit. Being an athlete was ingrained in her identity, but due to injury she chose to become a practitioner. Her journey has allowed her to work in a number of different settings including sport, fitness and business.
Within these domains Jodine has worked with young people on improving self-confidence, working through injury and building healthy routines. Jodine believes in the power of the mind and how this can be shaped to help you achieve your goals.
